Vision

The Chhaya Foundation envisions to create an environment in India, where a suicide is prevented, missing cases are effectively addressed, and families receive the necessary support and resources to heal and move forward.

The goal is to reduce the number of suicide, missing and mental health cases by honoring achievements, providing resources and support, raising awareness, advocating for victims' rights, addressing root causes, creating inclusive and supportive society, educating the public, intervening when people go missing, and encouraging community organisations to work together.

Our Mission

  • To honor the achievement of reaching a day where suicide is no longer the top cause of death in the area under the jurisdiction of a police station.
  • To honor the achievement of reaching a day where zero missing cases are registered in the area under the jurisdiction of a police station.
  • To provide a safe and inclusive environment for all the victims and family members.
  • To provide necessary resources and support to victims and family members to recover, heal and thrive.
  • To raise awareness, provide support, and advocate for the rights of victims and provide education and resources to individuals, families, and communities to help them understand and recognize the signs of potential danger and how to prevent it.
  • To provide support and resources to victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other forms of abuse, helping them escape from abusers and ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • To provide effective mental health care and support for individuals struggling with mental illness and addiction to prevent them from going missing.
  • Offering assistance and support to individuals facing financial or legal problems to help them find solutions and prevent them from feeling the need to disappear.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to locate missing persons quickly and efficiently using innovative technology solutions and data analysis.
  • To create an inclusive and supportive society that values and respects all individuals regardless of background or circumstances and prevents discrimination and marginalization.
